‘Lễ Vu Lan’ là một sự kiện văn hóa thường được kỷ niệm hằng năm ở các nước Á Đông như Nhật, Trung quốc, Hàn quốc, Việt nam….

Theo một từ điển Anh-Việt của Viện Ngôn Ngữ Học, thuật ngữ ‘Lễ Vu Lan’ được dịch theo lối tường giải/giải thích ‘A Buddhist holiday, held annually on the 15th of the 7th month of the lunar calendar. The main objective of this festival is for the people to express their gratefulness and appreciation to their mother’.

Người dịch cũng có thể tìm một số cách dịch/phương thức dịch trên internet. Điều quan trọng là ta biết cách tìm từ khóa.
